Yoga Teacher Training Journeys

Understanding myself through Yoga and Meditation

September 17th, 2009 Posted in BEFORE Yoga Teacher Training, Why enrol in Yoga Teacher Training?, Yoga Teacher Perspectives

Yoga, to me, means focusing on the self.  Gaining a better understanding of ourselves and our actions through meditation and reflection.  I believe we have lost the ability to look deep within ourselves for answers – in the world we live in it can be very difficult to live your life according to your beliefs.  Yoga is a spiritual journey that is very personal to each and every one of us.

I love that yoga is a practical way of life – it is active in every aspect of your life and in everything that you do.  Since finding yoga a lot has changed in my life – I have changed.  I have become to know myself a lot more, to like myself more and to listen to myself.  This is the reason I want to teach others so they too can make their own lives more fulfilling and more individually focused.

My first yoga class seemed to waken something inside of me that I never knew existed.  My mind and body felt alive and invigorated like I’ve never felt before and I continue to have these feelings after every yoga practice.  Whilst my first attraction to yoga was purely for the physical benefits, my love of yoga has now developed into a deeper and life changing aspect.   I am only at the very start of this exciting journey and am fully dedicated to continue down the path, constantly learning and improving and enjoying and being grateful for this experience.

These are my personal reasons for enrolling on this Yoga Teacher Training Course.
